In the more advanced areas of support, we are aiming to partner with fleet software providers, communications providers and maritime specialist service companies.
The business is making use of existing ISS and ShipNet sales resources, through Group Commercial and Group Business Development and will look to utilise other business areas.
The initial service provision will be to offer Vessel IT Support Services to ship owners and managers. Most commercial vessels have a basic network setup of 5-10 desktops/laptops to provide the facility for ship to shore communications, computer based maintenance and purchasing and procedural documentation onboard. We are able to provide a full management service combining; procurement, configuration, installation and support of such networks onboard.
We are able to offer Contracted support services over specific periods of time, customisable according to the customers requirements, which will provide global IT support onboard for a single yearly fee.
We are also able to offer ad-hoc support visits for specific problem resolution; virus issues, network problems, hardware and software upgrades etc…
